Congratulations to Aldershot Town FC
It was with double delight that Alton Town cheered Aldershot to promotion. Obviously, they have been enthusiastic supporters of our local Blue Square side but with the added excitement of entertaining Aldershot as a Football League side in a pre season friendly on July 5th. 'We were delighted to have fixed up this game a few weeks ago', with Aldershot's John McGinty agreeing that it would be an excellent idea to build on this year's very successful pre season game at the Bass Sports Ground where players and fans alike get an early opportunity to look forward to the new season and the local community have a chance to show their support for local football.
