04/07/08 - SATURDAY UPDATE

We can confirm Setanta Sports TV will be in attendance at the Bass Sports Ground for Saturday afternoon's friendly against Aldershot Town.

Setanta Sports covered the Blue Square Premier division last season which is the league Aldershot Town won at a canter. They took a real likeing to the Shots throughout the season as they were treated to some excellent football.

The reporter they are sending is called James Gibson and James will be arriving at the ground at some stage between 11:30am and 12 noon.

Setanta will have a tour of the Bass Sports Ground and take some images from inside the ground before the match kick's off.

They will also shoot some match action and interview any players, management, supporters or officials etc that want to be interviewed.

Alton Town can thank commercial manager Martyn Tigwell for arranging Setanta Sports to attend.

Gavin Denison of BBC Southern Counties Radio Sport will also be live at the Bass Sports Ground. Gavin's colleagues in the studio will be giving regular updates on how the match is going.

*Remember the Bass Sports Ground will be open from 11am so why not come along and have some food and drink before the football starts. Carling is £2 per pint until kick off at 3pm.

There is a penalty shoot out competition on the training pitch from 12 noon for under 12's which will be hosted by former Shots player Colin Fielder. The winners will go through to compete in a final on the main pitch at half time.

Cooked food is available all day including an eat-in big breakfast.

A special programme will be on sale at just £1.50 each.

Alton Town's squad for the match will be from: Dan Hill, Marc Cole, Lee Tigwell, Steve Larvan, Sean Burton, Clive Ventham, Jack Burns, Matt Rayner, Steve Graham, Ian Linney, Pa Kinteh, Paul Preston, John Gray, Cav Ferris, Rob Ford, Kevin Russell, Jason Grenham, Simba Mlambo, Paul Lloyd and Tom Brown.

Aldershot Town's squad will be announced over the PA system on matchday.
